Founder & Designer
Jonathan Knox (MSc BDes) is the founder of Renaissense, with over 20 years’ experience uniting interior design, art, and technology. Trained in interior architecture and specialising in immersive design and creative direction, he brings a multidisciplinary perspective to crafting interiors that are both beautiful and transformative.
His journey into immersive practice began in 2010 with Touching the NEOlithic at the Scottish National Museum, a pioneering installation that redefined museum experience design. As co-founder and Chief Creative Officer at Sublime, Jonathan went on to lead high-profile projects for clients including the Saudi Arabia Royal Court, Nike, The Red Sea Development Company, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, and the British Museum, with his work gaining international recognition at venues such as SAT, MUTEK, and FDUK.
Alongside his professional career, Jonathan has spent the past eight years as a dedicated practitioner of hatha yoga, meditation, and tantra. This practice has deepened his understanding of how spaces can influence wellbeing and consciousness, a perspective that now defines the ethos of Renaissense. His belief is simple yet profound: by designing with intention, interiors can nurture the senses, inspire elevated living, and contribute to a more harmonious collective.
